About me

Hi there! My name is Tricked and I am a software developer from the Netherlands 🇳🇱. I have been passionate about programming and technology since I was 14 years old, starting with creating Javascript Discord bots.

Since then, I have gained experience in building a wide range of applications, including websites, user applications, and backends. I am currently focusing on using Rust & Typescript using svelte for frontend for most of my projects, Open to use other languages when best suited or required for a contribution.

I am currently working 4 days per week at on C#, Azure and some databricks & datawarehouses.

Other interests

Although i primarily do programming i do enjoy cosplaying as a maker i own a 3d printer (bambulab a1) do some soldering sometimes, create custom 3d designs using Fusion360 (planning to move to freecad as my education benefits expired), hack around with a flipper zero and play automation games like Factorio and modded Minecraft (GTNH lol). Oh and i also recently got a Meshtastic device too bad theres not much activity around my area keeping my node online and hoping for the best in the near future though

Around every christmas i also do a modded Terraria Calamity playthrough with a couple other friends

Favorite “maker” projects i made:

Other interest of-course include Anime and Manhwa. shows i recently watched and enjoyed and are not Frieren, JJK, and rezero lol:

i am actively keeping a watch on new releases and watching them weekly

Manhwa list these are all very popular in the Manhwa/Webtoon community but might peak your interest if you havent given them a shot they are free to read almost everywhere.

I dont actively seek out / read new manhwa but do keep up with these

Currently also learning 日本語 at the time of writing i have about 500 words done in kaishi 1.5k but finding motivation to do more is kinda hard at the moment so i am just maintaining it for now.

Selfhosting

My main hobby next to development is selfhosting, I enjoy finding new projects on github and putting them on my server at home to use for my own needs, for example im hosting Kanidm as login shield for almost all my services the latest service i am selfhosting is linkwarden. Immich is by far my favorite selfhosted service though.

Through this i learned everything from networking to linux tooling & containers

I recently switched my entire homelab from fedora to NixOS and have been having too much fun trying to do everything in the nix language and getting everything uniform it all working great though now!

I try to manage as much as possible via nix files for example kanidm is fully managed by nix config like the secrets etc

Most used desktop tools

in no particular order

Long terms goals

I am committing to updating this page at-least once a year with more stuff and renovating old sections, Reminder that i am a real person and open to connections on every linked platform above :D
